Dear Sirs,
I have had the opportunity to read the letter sent to you by Mr. Tanner Andrews. If a sillier letter has ever been written I haven't seen it. Mr. Andrews has constructed a convoluted intellectual edifice, which impugns the viability of our hospital, predicated on the apparent non-payment of this year's property taxes by Lankford, Grable, Corbyons and Donohoe.
His summary holds that the hospital is in trouble because we haven't paid those taxes. The fact is we hadn't paid our taxes because the tax assessor's office had the wrong address on our tax bill. (They had been sending our bill to our old office at Fish Hospital DeLand, now the site of the Volusia County Justice Center. With the completion of the Justice Center the post office stopped forwarding our misdirected mail.)
Apparently Mr. Andrews feels it a public service to expose his over-active imagination to the community at large. The rest of us find it laughable.
